1. The Taylor County Judge’s office will be the custodian of the plan; and, the County Judge’s office in
cooperation with the Child Abuse Prevention Plan Committee chairman will coordinate the activities of
the committee.

2. A copy of the resources and telephone numbers will be circulated to interested parties and agencies, (including the media, churches, schools and day care facilities) for purposes of generating referrals, to encourage communication and input, collaboration and coordination of efforts, and to eliminate duplication of services prior to the annual review committee meeting.

3. The Taylor County Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Plan committee will meet on an annual basis
to review the plan and to make recommendations for change.

4. The Taylor County Child Protective Services Board will monitor the plan and make further recommendations as appropriate.

5. The Taylor County Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Plan Committee chairperson, with advice and consent of the County Judge, may appoint additional positions as needed to represent areas not already represented by the committee membership.

6. Committee members will take personal responsibility to educate and publicize the plan to their respective organizations.

IV. REVIEW AND APPROVED
The foregoing Taylor County Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Plan was prepared by the Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Plan Committee. The committee members were appointed by the Taylor County Judge, George A. Newman and are listed in Appendix A.

The plan was reviewed and approved by the Taylor County Child Protective Services Board, as evidenced by the Chairperson’s signature below. Board membership is included in Appendix B.
