Juvenile Probation Officer

 

Full-Time Juvenile Probation Officer. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors Degree conferred by an accredited college or university and either one year experience in full time case work, counseling, community or group work in a social service community or group work agency that deals with juvenile offenders or disadvantaged persons as determined by the Texas State Juvenile Probation Commission or one year of graduate study in criminology, corrections, counseling, social work, psychology, or other field of instruction as approved by the Texas State Juvenile Probation Commission. All applications must include a college transcript.

 

Starting Salary: $25,303.36 annual + benefits

Male & Female Corrections Officers at the Taylor County Jail. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.  Applicants must have the ability to work in a very stressful environment and have a good moral character.  This is SHIFT WORK.

 

Applicants must be in good physical shape and must pass a physical exam and drug screening prior to employment.

 

Qualified applicants will also be subject to an extensive criminal history, polygraph examination and background investigation.  Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Starting Salary:  $12.17 per hour + benefits

Heavy Equipment Operator—Precinct 2 This employee will be involved in the construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges.  To be qualified, applicants must have experience with all types of heavy road construction equipment as well as the ability to perform preventative maintenance.  Qualified applicants must have a current Texas Commercial Driver’s License and a high school diploma or G.E.D.  A background check and a pre-employment drug screen are required.

 

 

Starting Salary:  $11.26 hour + benefits

Taylor County is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Extension Assistant – Volunteer Management in the County Extension Office. All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree. Qualified applicants must have strong computer and typing skills (minimum 35 WPM); excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials; and be able to multitask.  Experience in volunteer management and agriculture extension service will be a plus.

 

Starting Salary: $8.00 per hour + retirement
