Heavy Equipment Operator in Precinct 4

 

The successful applicant will be involved in the construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges. To be qualified, applicants must have experience with all types of heavy road construction equipment as well as the ability to perform preventative maintenance. Qualified applicants must have a current Texas Commercial Drivers License and high school diploma or GED.

 

Starting Salary: $10.62 per hour + benefits

Deputy Constable - Bailiff

 

This law enforcement position operates both in the 104th District Court and the Constables Department. The work includes normal bailiff duties ensuring the safety of the courtroom as well as looking after the jury. The work also includes deputy constable duties when not assigned to the court such as serving legal papers and other law enforcement activities. Qualified applicants must have current Texas Peace Officers certification. All applicants must have 1-2 years experience in law enforcement. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, prefer bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Criminal history and background investigations will be conducted on all qualified applicants.

 

Starting Salary: $10.62 hourly + Benefits

Licensed Vocational Nurse

 

Applicants must include copy of current Texas Nursing License with the application. Must possess the ability to work in an intensively stressful environment with confidential information and have good moral character. Will dispense medications, evaluate inmate health care needs, and provide some onsite health care. Applicant will work under direction of the RN and jail administration. Criminal background investigations will be done. This is SHIFT WORK.

Assistant Criminal District Attorney

 

The Taylor County Criminal District Attorney's Office is currently seeking an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, licensed in the State of Texas, to handle misdemeanor cases in our County Courts. Entry level position with starting salary of $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 depending on experience, plus benefits. Experience in the handling of misdemeanor cases or any other area of criminal law a plus. The District Attorneys Office has an opening for a part-time(no benefits) misdemeanor secretary to work 39 hours per week. Typing, 40 words per minute and Microsoft Word computer experience a must. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must have the ability to work in a very stressful environment and have a good moral character. This is SHIFT WORK. Applicants must be in good physical shape and must pass a physical exam and drug screening prior to employment. Qualified applicants will also be subject to an extensive criminal history and background investigation.

Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, have no record of arrest, and be physically capable to perform all job responsibilities (i.e. physical restraint of clients). Preference will be given to applicants with college or training and/or experience working with children ages 10-17 years.
