Military personnel and their dependents must issue a written request to our office in order to be eligible to receive an absentee ballot by mail. You may obtain a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) from the Voting Officer on base or by calling the Federal Voting Assistance Program at 1-800-438-8683. You may also download an application at www.fvap.gov and forward to our office by regular mail or you may fax the completed form to (325) 674-1340. Effective September 1, 2009, House Bill 536 requires a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to be treated as an application for permanent voter registration. Upon receipt of your completed application, you will receive a mail ballot for all county, state and federal elections while the application is valid. Please include an email address or phone number so we can reach you if we have any questions. Federal Elections are conducted in even numbered years. A Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) is valid for two Federal Elections after the original submittal date. Please submit a new FPCA after two federal elections or anytime you have a change of mailing address. It is important that we have your current mailing address on file at all times so you will receive your ballot in a timely manner. For more information, contact the Early Voting Clerk at 325-674-1216. |
